Saguaro Resources is a success-oriented, fast paced, well-funded private oil and gas company focused on extracting value from the unconventional resources in the liquids rich, British Columbia deep basin Montney play.  

 

Saguaro is in search of an experienced Plant Operator and a Field Operator for the camp-based operations in NE BC. Reporting to the Shift-Lead Operator, the successful candidate will work closely with the other team members and will assist in the day to day operations of our Laprise facility and field.  This person will be a hands-on, self-starting individual interested in assisting in the Company’s growth and success. This position is camp based in BC with a 15 days on and 13 days off schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain optimum performance of all wells, compressors, plant and production equipment
  • Monitors production targets to ensure objectives are met
  • Reviews and keeps accurate operating data, checks equipment and takes action to correct any abnormal conditions
  • Assist in monitoring all field tickets, ensuring strong cost control measures are in place and ensuring all tickets are approved and accurate    
  • Maintain high safety and environmental standards and ensure that all workers are adhering to regulatory and Saguaro’s requirements, supporting a safety culture with a goal of 0 LTI’s
  • Works collaboratively with all other field operations groups
  • Trains staff as required ensuring that staff are fully competent to perform their duties
  • Identify continuous improvement and cost efficiency projects
  • Maintain positive stakeholder relationships within the communities we work in   

Experience/Qualifications Required:   

  • 5+ years prior hands-on skills in a production operations position
  • Plant Operators must have extensive knowledge and skills working with a facility with gas compression, dehydration, and sweetening         
  • Field Operators must have experience operating wells, testing facilities and gathering systems
  • Proven strong communication skills 
  • Experience in liquid rich gas plays would be an asset
  • Experience with remote camp based operations would be an asset 
  • Experience with SCADA monitoring and control systems an asset
  • Certification in WHMIS, H2S, First-Aid & CPR required
  • Valid Class 5 Driving License required
  • Job is camp based with a shift rotation work schedule of 15 days on and 13 days off
